In the urban part of the village, the old part is clearly visible, built under the castle-palace of the Barons of Pinós family, and sheltered by the old city walls (which no longer exist). The square Galceran of Pinós it´s remarkable for its beautiful arches and old buildings, and the whole medieval part.

The village of Bagà is considered the historic capital of Alt Berguedà county and nowadays it’s important infrastructure is the economical drive of the whole area. The new secondary school, which provides service to the old small villages in the north part of Berguedà county, the Medieval and Cathar Study Centre, located on the ground floor of the Pinós castle-palace with it’s strategic situation halfway along the Route of Cathars (Camí dels Bons Homes) or the ski resort Coll de Pal are all important features.

On the right bank of Bastareny river you can enjoy the local swimming-pool, there is also a sports area and a park with magnificent views.
